All Canada has to do is remove all tariffs from the United States. Very simple. Not sure why they want to make their citizens suffer just to get in a pissing match. Seems selfish.

Unfortunately that is not true. Trump has been imposing tariffs on Canada regardless of the Canadian response, and as far as I can tell, they are not purely reciprocal. Example: Canada does not charge 25% tariffs on US steel and aluminium, nor 10% on US oil, yet this is what the US charged Canada, with no reason or path to getting those reduced.
