The other day, I had the pleasure of dining at "Tonden," a popular Japanese restaurant.

I decided to try their lunch special, which is under $8. This set meal featured a delightful Edo-style combination of sardine sushi, tempura, and yuzu soba. *Note: sardine sushi was not typically eaten during the Edo period.

While tempura enthusiasts might prefer it with just a sprinkle of salt, I personally love giving it a nice, long soak in a sauce enriched with grated daikon radish.

The overall taste was decent, but considering the price, it was a satisfying experience.
