Sarvestan Palace houses the oldest brick dome in Iran. This Sassanid palace is located in Fars province, 9 kilometers south of Sarvostan, on the way to Nazarabad village, in Farakh plain. The Palace of Sarostan was built during the reign of Bahram V or Bahram Ghor (420-438 AD) and it is said that it was built by Mehr Narse, his familiar name, and several other Sassanid kings.
