I grew up thinking media was the rational voice: “This public announcement/story regarding person X or company Y is hyperbole. They’re exaggerating for attention. The truth is more tame — let us explain.” Now it’s somehow flipped.

+1 to paying for Snipd I was an early adopter so feel some loyalty, plus got a great annual membership discount. Love being able to capture moments from episodes I want to remember. And having transcripts / autogenerated chapters is huge (tbf there are prob other players that also do this)

I hope so! But authoritarian regimes also probably have more “alignable” values (legible societies with quantifiable metrics that go up and to the right, with limited regard for the human consequences)
