I see 3 main founder archetypes in crypto:

Old School — founders building traditional companies:  @barmstrong @jerallaire 

Thought Leaders/Cat Herders — founders of decentralized protocols: Satoshi, @vitalik.eth 

Hybrid: building companies on top of the protocols they built: @dwr.eth @haydenzadams

building a bank owned by its customers.

Or I suppose he’s just better classified as an investor/thinker/author than a founder

Maybe founders of startup societies deserve a 4th category
