When you ask your kids to get off the screens (iPad, video games) and they respond that they see you staring at a screen all day, what’s a good comeback?

I don’t have kids so only have experience as a child in this scenario so I think if I had said this to my dad in my youth he would have said something like, “what the fuck did you say to me you little shit”

For real that’s a toughy, I think explaining the screen difference and including them in what’s happening if it breaks into your time. like hey buddy I’m just writing out this email about xyz

👀 Well, that’s one way to keep the kiddo from asking. Talking back is a separate issue, and luckily it doesn’t happen too often. I feel guilty justifying my screen time but I am usually working and it’s required so I guess it’s just become part of life.
