I used to think gaming would be primary means on onboarding. Still think there will be people whose first self custody wallet is for gaming assets. But more and more, I think it’s DeFi lending. With integration of USDC debit cards, there’s no reason to let cash sit in a no-interest checking account.

The gaming has not yet been compelling to me. Content creation ownership and DeFi have always been the more compelling use cases IMO. I agree with you on this interest in a wallet being a huge use case. Why let it waste in checking or even a basic savings acct.

I’m a gamer and have been enjoying playing Off The Grid so I just see an easy conversion there. Social is interesting as well. Rodeo is fun. Obviously enjoy farcaster. I just think people are ok giving up privacy/ads for free social, and creators will go where the people are. But it could be suddenly all at once thing where a few big names move or someone makes it big and more see it as an option. Like early podcasting.

I want to be a gamer but nothing web3 has really brought me in. Where do I play Off The Grid? Will take a look at Rodeo. Social has become a more difficult approach in the last 5 years. It has become a federated universe. Social has sort of become divided much like the political system. Hard to get those places where everyone wants to be.

If you google it, you should find it. Free to play in one of the main gaming platforms (forget if it’s steam or what since I’m away from my gaming pc). You can also search it on YouTube to see some streamers playing it.
