Can channel owners create a setting where for example users that hold a particular amount of FT can automatically join a channel?

Assuming one of the channel moderation tools built by a developer in the ecosystem supports it, yes.

But can that involve having to create another moderation tool from scratch or being able to add a patch to an moderation tool like automod

I was just focused on the ease it should provide for the mods

Glad the possibility won’t take too long to implement

@automod already supports rules that use ERC20, so it seems to me they could support this use case too. Or maybe they already do?
