we won’t scale apps until new people feel that they don’t need to understand how the tech works in order to use it 

going onchain should require the same mental strain as going online or using a microwave 

just click the buttons to do the thing, no need to study about https, dielectric heating, or proof of stake.

this also means they should trust the tech, this is why resiliency and uptime of base layers are so important :)

Definitely a huge barrier to entry. The crypto community isn't great at realising that as much as we think some tech advances are incredible, to 95% of the rest of the world it's just solving problems no one else knew existed

This. All. Day. You can't onboard 1B users onchain if they are worried about losing all of their money interacting with an app, either through bad actors or incompetence with the technology.
