I think the new RPGF category delineation is a bit weird, with lots of overlap between the categories and lack of clarity as to what qualifies in the Onchain Builders category I also think the role of the OP token is quite murky as the Foundation seems to be executing governance

Everyone knows Kill Bill and what it's about. The superchain isn't there yet. You've done an amazing job educating everyone but for any anon that doesn't follow you, the concept of superchain is "blurry" at best. Have friends asking me "wtf is superchain"? Others don't even know the term. Should I change friends? 🤣

From the first time i saw Karl describing the superchain on the cool presentation i knew it would become something special. I am not a programmer but i understood the vision. Building a network of L2s to help scale the mother chain (eth) is the end game. I still hope for bigger enlargement of the superchain in future.

Superchain will cause vendor lock-in and will be bad for the wider blockchain ecosystem if it doesn't do its best to standardize and interface with other blockchain frameworks. Seamless interaction between *any* system has to be the endgoal.

My concern is less so about the tech, but the centralization of culture and ethos. Will there be a world where there is a dominant superchain but the subchain creation is restricted and censored due to its political/cultural goal?

there will probably come a time when we decide on an L2 and the others fade out, which will not be great for a lot of talented developers, but hopefully they can pivot since it’s all eth may be getting close

Clear articulation of the goals & values, and the connection & separation with/from Base. Personal view shaped by handing out on Farcaster: Base is for builders, I build on Base. Optimism is for governance (?) and if I build on Base I’ll be qualified for grants on Optimism.

The two biggest criticisms in my mind have been acknowledged 1) centralization risks due to OP’s reliance on sequencers and 2) challenges related to transaction finality and data submission. What’s the latest timeline estimate for Stage 1? Stage 2?
