I agree.
I’m a fan of scaling the L1. Crypto UX is already shitty, and the L2 scaling approach was like someone asked, “hmm, how can we make this user experience even shittier?”
A scalable L1 is much easier to understand than L2s, which in most cases you are lying if you call them decentralized, plus the problem of fractionalized users, liquidity, and attention — both for builders and for users.
I kinda get it, because at the time, the Blockchain Trilemma was a real thing. It has since been solved, so the scaling roadmap should be updated with this info.
It’s like at the end of WW2 (and other wars) after a ceasefire or treaty had been signed, but there were still soldiers fighting for a while because they hadn’t heard the news. 0 reply
