1/ Let’s Talk About Expectations in the DEGEN Community

As we continue building DEGEN together, I think it’s important to address something fundamental: what we should expect from one another.

Right now, DEGEN is one of the only platforms where someone can earn hundreds of dollars with almost no authentic engagement—just by reposting low-effort or spammy content. Platforms like Google Ads or Twitter would never allow that kind of behavior to be monetized, and it raises an important question for us as a community: why should we?

Important message from Jacek. This is what it should be about. Especially here in the /poetry channel. Authentic engagement. Create poetry, share poetry by others. Talk about poetry. Comment on posts by others to enliven the conversation. Spamming is hard to define, but creating AI-generated content to fish for tips is extracting value from this corner of Farcaster.
Support eachother, engage authentically and we we all shine.
