One of my favorite things about Japan is cherry blossoms, but did you know you can see them twice a year? Fuyuzakura (winter sakura) are varieties that also bloom in the fall/winter and are a special treat because they are rare. It makes it even better when you stumble across one! Taken in Hakone, December 2024.

I found out for the first time that there is such a breed among cherry blossoms. I haven't seen it yet
