Today was the second time I read something about government workers "only doing their job based on the law" when faced with moral dillemas. A company who is taxed because it offers its employees healthy free lunches. (which according to Dutch law is basically "payment in kind" and as such taxable) The fact that healthy lunches has a positve effect on the health is not an argument. "They are following the law". Be very careful with people who simply "follow the law" especially goverment workers. Always question authority.

Cornfield als contained patch of cannabis plants. ;-) Exercise is Falcon leap BTW and is in conjunction with the Market Garden memorial taking place.

This has been going on even before the advent of the Internet. During the 60'ies old institutions like church (catholic, protestant etc.) and social/political vision (socialism etc.) were no longer leading in how people lived and organized their life. It used to be that church and/or union provided everything from school, sportsclub etc. Now it's all indivudualism. Media/Internet indeed amplified this and gave anyone (disregarding knowledge and experience and repuation) a "voice". And with the advent of this, focus shifted to shorter term stuff and "issues". I am not propagating a return to the traditional societal "stovepipes" of yore though.

Everytime I try, there's always rule 7 of RFC1925 (https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc1925) Which always leads me back to the best Unix/Linux/BSD derivative there is.. Good old MacOS ;-)
