👵 A British company has created an "AI Granny" to fight phone scams, her main job is to understand nothing, endlessly ask questions and stall for time. "AI Granny" tells confusing stories about her family, talks about her love of knitting, and provides false personal information like made-up bank details. Initial testing has shown the neural network keeps criminals in touch for up to 40 minutes.
