adhders come across as good at multitasking bc our brains inherently do this rapid switching naturally, searching for dopamine hits and succumbing to every impulse

the more you change tasks, the more "switch cost" you accrue, which is a decreased performance due to the increased cognitive demand of switching tasks so often

true multitasking - doing more than one complex task at a time that requires attention or active cognitive processing - is biologically impossible
