depends on the season but Tokyo ➡️ Hakone ➡️ Kyoto ➡️ Fukuoka + day trips in between or along the way. If you’re going late spring/summer Hokkaido is amazing.

it's tough, it honestly depends on what you want to see and do. Tokyo is massive, you won't see everything in one trip, you'll get side tracked with a bunch of stuff + walking around. When Cynthia and I stay in Kyoto we take day trips to Osaka, Hiroshima. The Shinkansen makes everything accessible and easy. Food and drinks 10/10 in Japan.
