Assume for the moment dogs *could* learn a dog language. How would the vast majority of dogs learn this language? Many aren’t around other dogs long enough, and those that have dog roommates aren’t generally connected to a multi-generational dog society to pass along knowledge So they really are just making noises

That said, they all kinda seem to carry the standard howl in their instincts, even baby puppies can attempt to do it.. (🥹 boy is it so cute) I wonder what meaning is attributed to the howl in their minds..
