hot take: anon people with βhot takesβ are the most beta of beta energy. sharing a strong POV takes a lot more courage when there is reputational, social, and financial capital on the line β and rarely is that ever the case when one is anon.

anons have seen what happens to public people with based takes, the FBI kills βem. it seems like you missed the point, anon provides skip-protection of ad hominem bullshit, forcing people to focus on the idea of the take: if youβre still focused on the messenger youβre showing youβre not good at ideas

i agree with you for anons who are risking their lives in order to save others or protect serious human rights. realistically, thatβs not the average anon. this post is referring to the mid anon, not the edward snowden-equivalent anon. i shouldβve made that distinction clear.
