Thanks for the caveated assent to the idea. Read your comment this morning & only just replying, but it’s been on my mind since bc I realised I couldn’t have guessed what you’d think of free will. I’ve also realised it’s not a concept I’ve explored much. Would you share more why it’s not your bag?

A key insight for me was, where do your thoughts come from? When they appear in your head, you can’t control what appears in your head and when, so if you can’t even control that.. where is your free will?

Oooh. I’d considered will as acting in response to thoughts, and I may hold to that, but you’ve given me a new line of enquiry. If you don’t control where thoughts come from, who or what does? Does it matter? If no free will, what’s the consequence for you?
