I do lament the destruction of manufacturing, or at the very least the lack of innovation and investment in manufacturing in the United States in the recent past. A lot of it has to do with because labor has become so expensive. There is a ofc - a future where robotics, and embodied AI helps with manufacturing and increased abundant production at lower costs (a story for another time); but the reality is it’s not going to happen immediately, or at least let’s say in the next 3-5 years. But I think one of the main reasons is businesses in general have prioritized gains (because of the way the public equities and returns work) in focusing on gutting manufacturing (i.e. business that can be done for cheaper somewhere else) overseas for the past 2~3 decades is because multiples on software, financial engineering and knowledge work in general have better returns investment wise, so these underlying businesses have been generally cut or just go unsupported or over regulated (or regulatory captured)

TrenFinance, a DeFi liquidity restart protocol, announced the completion of its seed round of funding, ContangoDigital Assets, Maven Capital, Moonrock Capital, OIG Capital, Spyre Capital, and others have participated in the investment. The specific financing amount and valuation information have not been disclosed yet. It is reported that TrenFinance currently mainly provides liquidity proof and linkage for the community to support DeFi services such as re collateralized LPs, money market deposits, and re collateralized positions. @rdulion @eswar

Slow Mist founder Cosine X posted that starting from 2:48 am, DEXX attackers gradually exchanged tokens on a batch of EVM (ETH/BASE/BSC) addresses related to the attackers for corresponding ETH/BNB. The exchange is still ongoing, it seems that another script has been written to automatically perform these exchange operations, and these ETH/BNB have not been transferred out yet (although relevant tests have been found). @hupipe

According to News.bitcoin, the total NFT transaction volume this week was $179.48 million, an increase of 90.74% compared to the previous week. Ethereum NFTs are leading among 21 blockchains, with a transaction volume of $67.72 million within seven days, an increase of 126.79% from last week. Bitcoin NFT ranked second with a transaction volume of 59.96 million US dollars, a month on month increase of 129.22%. Solana based digital collectibles ranked third with a transaction volume of $24.39 million, an increase of 91.85% from the previous week. A South Korean Democratic Party official stated that it is now deemed necessary to postpone the capital gains tax on cryptocurrencies in order to maintain fairness. The South Korean government proposed a tax law amendment in July that includes delaying the capital gains tax on cryptocurrencies, but the passage of the amendment has been uncertain due to opposition from the Democratic Party to other government tax reduction policies. Democratic Party member Min Byoung dug emphasized that before legally taxing the income of the virtual asset industry, it is necessary to first legally recognize the industry.
