In 2015, I found myself caught in the midst of an identity crisis, unsure of how to navigate my way through life and access the knowledge I needed to make important decisions. Photography was one area where I excelled, but as for advocating for my hearing disabilities, I felt lost and uncertain. From my school days to college and even in my corporate life, I never dared to discuss it, as if it were an insignificant issue, unworthy of attention. Hitting rock bottom in my life became a turning point that eventually sparked a newfound confidence within me. I had no one to believe in me or provide emotional support. I had no choice but to endure these challenging moments, yearning to be respected and treated fairly. It was at that moment when I realized that I had the power within me to bring about change! Amen!
