It's relatively easy to figure things out ... you just have to enjoy figuring things out. For every early stage project, I'd recommend finding people who enjoy figuring things out, but also people who don't have to figure out everything just for the sake of making it their own. The dilemma whether to be original or useful should only have only one answer.
