i find this interesting about gen z: A 2023 survey by Pymnts found that 40% of US consumers still carry cash around, with older Americans predictably leading the way, though Gen Z, likely because theyโ€™re too young to have credit or debit cards, are nearly equally likely as boomers to have cash on hand. perhaps โ€œownershipโ€ will prevail, physical and digital

Not that surprising, I think. But I maybe biased because eg Germans (where I spend a lot of time) are leading cash way for a long time

personally don't carry cash anymore unless i'm in smaller cities/towns in europe, so found it interesting that ppl younger than me are!
