i find this interesting about gen z: A 2023 survey by Pymnts found that 40% of US consumers still carry cash around, with older Americans predictably leading the way, though Gen Z, likely because theyโre too young to have credit or debit cards, are nearly equally likely as boomers to have cash on hand. perhaps โownershipโ will prevail, physical and digital

Not that surprising, I think. But I maybe biased because eg Germans (where I spend a lot of time) are leading cash way for a long time

personally don't carry cash anymore unless i'm in smaller cities/towns in europe, so found it interesting that ppl younger than me are!
