Odds for a Farcaster airdrop on Polymarket have been jumping a lot this week indicating a few people taking out yes positions. There are a few things that point to a potential Farcaster airdrop: - Wallet integration - recent purge of users - experimentation of reward system What do you think? Will we see a Farcaster airdrop?

no way, don't think so ... partly also because we (as the space) still haven't cracked the code of how to use airdrops for long term growth when you have money in the bank, airdrop is your last line drug to try to make numbers go up

Hyperliquid sure has. Kaito might have as well and Farcaster has arguably higher signal than Kaito.

Nothing you named is long term just yet Mary. Also to mention that we kinda had token experience with Degen about a year ago (no positive for net new users)

I would make the argument that the Degen experiment brought us a lot of new long term users. I’m one of them. I know quite a few others as well. We definitely lost a lot but it no question in my mind that it was a net benefit for the network.

Hmm, interesting. Permission to disagree 😀 I’d have to dig back the numbers somewhere … but I remember it was big jump up and then 90% of it vanished within next 6-9 months Now you maybe right that we got new users who tried, left and will slowly come back as FC stops shying from actually marketing itself and tech improves, etc
