I think you’re underestimating the complexity of government organizations and overestimating the ability of technologists to design governance systems.

An opposite take is that governments will expand to create physical and social jobs to employ more people when knowledge work is largely made redundant by AI.

Of course it’s “a product of their own doing” because successful organizations change and adapt over time.

Crypto may hint at an alt power structure, but there are no guarantees it’s a better fairer one.

Look at the technocracy that emerges in small DAOs. Now scale that. It’s as dystopian as it gets.
