Lack of consumer interest/need? Dollar pegged stables have various “digital dollar” b2c use cases. Perhaps I’m not creative enough, but seems like an ETH pegged stable would only have defi use cases.

I don’t know if any decentralized dollars have actually crossed the chasm to real-world usage. Fiat backed coins seem like a much better fit.
