There’s this really weird assumption in the “flood the zone” strategy. I think it is correct that you can overwhelm media channels with too much news; so yes you can flood the zone and divert focus from your core actions. But it’s a peak arrogance to assume your actions at scale won’t cause a flood of consequences at scale YOU can’t control. The rational response is look away and wait. There is always a moment of silence after you kick the wasp hive.

Unintended consequences but either way, flood the zone is one step ahead of the people/media. And thats all thats needed to do some crazy shit. Maybe it blows up in their face but maybe it doesnt
