I’ve never explicitly heard it called “the two pizza rule” but come to think of it there has rarely been a time that I haven’t ordered two pizzas. 1 will always be pepperoni.

It’s based on an early rule for Amazon employees that every team should be small enough that two pizzas would suffice. Kind of evolved over the years to imply a lot about the power of small teams in getting things done.
