Polygon has SuperNets, which allow you to have an own token for gas but are closed-end. Have considered building on this because of how cheap it would be to maintain and for txs, but hate that it isn't permissionless. 

What do y'all have in mind for L3s?

Launch an L2 or L3 in a few clicks, no code required. Ask questions about rollups in /conduit

you can run your L3 permissionlessly or permissioned. can use ETH as your gas token or any custom token.
