I love that follower count here started at zero (vs. Twitter) because it shows you who has legacy clout vs. who is actually good at playing attention games

There's a funnel to those folks off of that, different elites innit

But I think for most folks, it's a fresh-ish start, or at least they don't get to bring their dead followers over from X, so you have a different kind of signal here vs. there

new accounts follow like 70 people automatically upon account creation

so some ppl have a ton of followers but they don't post that much, they were just kinda early to fc/are on the autofollow list for whatever reason. for these ppl, follow count doesn't map to attention games as clearly
