β€œSurely I do need her. Even as my sense of loss deepens each time we meet, I will need her.” β€” Hard-boiled Wonderland and the End of the World by Haruki Murakami (my favourite book)

ah it's so cool when other people have ready this book bc i feel most people have read Murakami's more famous titles, but not necessarily this one. this book really made me think how incredible the human imagination can be. it blew my mind.

So true! I’ll never forget the feeling I had at the end. I needed recovery time lol. But it also compelled me to buy like 4 more of his books immediately πŸ˜… none of the others have hit like this (so far).

I really enjoyed Kafka on the Shore too. It was the first one I read and my first proper intro to magic realism. I started and stopped Dance, Dance, Dance (bad timings). Also read The Strange Library and Birthday Girl. I have a copy of The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle too but haven’t tackled it yet. This might be the push I need to take up another Murakami book ☺️

hehe let me know if you like Wind-Up Bird Chronicles whenever you get around to it! I feel like I need to try it at some point too, since it's one of his more famous ones.
