I absolutely loved this incredibly informative and accessible text by @gmo on how and why the SynBio hype bubble burst, and where the industry goes from here.

Especially loved this excerpt, which pinpoints the root of the issue in a ‘Promethean’ approach humankind has towards nature. Moving forward, humans working in SynBio need to work *with* nature, not attempt to dominate it.

Thanks so much dear, I’m genuinely so happy you found it accessible 🙌🏽 and honestly it’s really interesting that so much of the philosophical pitfalls of synbio hype are things that more creative and artistic minds like yours would/could have spotted. I think the scientific world needs a board of artists/creatives in the ethics department
