I don’t think there are many examples of mixing finance and social that have worked at scale. At Venmo we succeed because people could focus more on doing things with friends than money.

I think web3 social should have a lot more finance (including nft finance) than web2 social.

I think it's a massive opportunity. If decentralized social networks become one of the drivers of mass blockchain adoptions finding a way to facilitate ads at the protocol level could become a very scalable value capture.
