Live from Farcon: Base has zero plans for a token. They're enamored with the blooming token economy, led by DEGEN, and want to encourage growth. Moreover, a token would be regressive, in Jesse's view, and Base team would rather decentralize the network "the hard way", w/o one.

TLDR: No Base token. Degen to $1.

Ditto, also having to search for DEGEN on chart sites by the contract address due to other competing "DEGENs" tickers is also a headache, but anyhow clearly someone or something is standing in the way of Coinbase listing it. It should be literally the easiest nobrainer listing in their history.

Functionally, sure. But a CB listing is good signal, a vote of confidence.
