Horribly haunting reading this and being reminded of my Grandpa who retired in the late-1990's and almost immediately was diagnosed with prostrate cancer then shingles then prostate cancer again and again and again until he had to quit because there was nothing left to do after 20 years of battling and by the end he didn't even recognize me, his second oldest grandson and just wanted to pass. 

Sad reality of what's in store for many of our parents/grandparents/aunts/uncles in the coming years and in recent years.
