tbh, all this is fine, but it’s not a big enough mission for Base, imo. Base has all the tools to do world-changing, revolutionary stuff… coins and onchain social are great, but they shouldn’t be a focus if you really wanna bring the world onchain.

I think it's a "yes, and!". we can do onchain social *and* we can do all the other stuff (payments, finance, etc) also - it's worth noting that there are hundreds of millions of people who are content creators around the world. they deserve economic freedom too!

Our current capital formation rails are gate-kept, extremely inefficient, and in most cases work adverse of stakeholder alignment. This is an obvious PMF for crypto and base has the distribution to really accelerate a solution. Payment apps with intuitive UI/onboarding flow can become Trojan horses for this. I’ve been a brick & mortar entrepreneur for over a decade. I truly think getting “Main Street” businesses onchain (in an abstracted way, ofc) is a massive unlock that can rebalance the power between SMBs and Big Corps, and in turn create better outcomes for communities. Over the last year or so, I’ve been steadily working on this. Happy to share the progress we’ve made and the vision in a more in depth way, if you’re interested.
