What's the best way for an international founder with no context in the US to fundraise?

That might be wise. Many (potentially most) US investors are cautious about investing in companies domiciled outside US jurisdiction. It adds significant complexity to the deal.

Web3 until now has been a bit of an exception to that.

That makes it more difficult as well frankly. I know it’s hard, but it might be worth investing more time on raising money in Korea first. Most companies I know of do that before fully expanding into the U.S. and pursuing money from U.S. investors.

Yes I understand this - we'll talk to Korean VCs as well. But was wondering if it would make sense for US firms to invest without deep understanding of our team's backgrounds - even with decent traction mostly coming from the North America.

It could make sense. It would probably require more time to pursue them than it could be worth, compared to focusing on Korean investors. Particularly if you’re not physically here in the U.S.
