I’ve been having this conversation with fellow founders for at least 4 years. Most (east coast) founders who have raised VC try to avoid it for their second go. So it’s not a hot topic, it’s just a topic.

Just came back from a couple events in Tokyo, with dozens young founders. As usual they all talk about VC funding. Here is not SV, definitely, so just saying VCs are attractive or mystical still, somewhere. When I talk about alternatives (not against VCs, but for seeing VC funding as the right tool for the right goal), often just getting respect for my age :)
