Why do we only support one minimized app? - Crawl, walk, run - We have no plans to support multiple at this point—added UI complexity, potential performance issues—but we may revisit at some point I'm mad and I don't like minimized mini apps - You're free to just close mini apps or not use them at all

been trying to think for a while honestly and i think most things id say have already been said - does feel like its social media for Base still largely due to userbase and how transactions largely done via base etc - don't know of a "solution" to that though or if that's really a problem lmao - do think replies should count towards any kind of farcaster rewards consideration whether its leaderboard or anything else - obviously biased but also do believe in replies as you can imagine

In the next few months, the Farcaster protocol will have the most meaningful increase in DAU decentralization since we started. Base will be adding a Farcaster-powered feed to Coinbase Wallet—an app that has millions of existing users and wallets with balances. They will have a paths for both existing users and new users to onboard to Farcaster, i.e. creating FIDs. That's a meaningful, tangible step toward increasing decentralization on the protocol. So if you're claiming that we're making changes to limit client competition, you are, in fact, factually incorrect (both in what we are working on at the protocol level as well the likely outcome after CB's launch).

Good article, nice technical depth. First comment is very helpful on the clarification of AC vs DC capacity factor, though it's an in-the-weeds detail that doesn't really change the jist. Still an important point. And separately, while solar costs coming down presents a significant opportunity for expanding traditional solar footprints, there is also the potential for vastly different form factors and applications. Similar to the point that EVs represent synthetic storage, decreased cost of solar PVs enables (maybe encourages) the development of "synthetic" or secondary capture. Think windows, industrial surface cladding, etc.
