What really matters is that sense of connection. You don’t need to physically be in the internet to accomplish that. You just need a step between convenience and effort that makes sense and accommodates connection.

i think this from the article is pretty accurate about the current state of things: "This internet isolates people more than it connects. The wide world of the web has become lost in a haze of convenience and solitude." the points about finding wonder on the web is also important and part of connecting meaningfully
