Something super awkward happened to me at Trader Joe’s. I was looking for a staff member to ask about heavy cream when a guy walked up next to me. Thinking he worked there, I asked, “btw, when you make cheesecake, do you use heavy cream?” He laughed and said, “Yeah, I do.” That’s when I realized—he wasn’t staff at all 😅 😂 🤣 ! I had just asked a random stranger for cheesecake advice. This would never happen to me in Japan, if I asked someone like out of nowhere, they would be surprised and maybe ignore me haha
