if you're in 30s (or less), take a bit of injury risk and play tennis or do oly lifts instead of retiring with pickleball. future self will thank you

I’m a novice, but was itching to get back into it in recent months. But after tons of research, it would probably cost me $2k a year just to casually play the sport. 😕

Yeah summer is easier, but offseason in New England you’re forced into an expensive club. Maybe someday!

oh damn, that’s a lot. yeah, biggest barrier is the court fees for sure. luckily the gear isn’t too expensive.

some cities have free or affordable public courts as well, just can be annoying to play without good wind guards.
