adb::any is an MMR-based store delivering minimal IO amplification while still providing authentication capabilities sufficient for a number of common needs. It also sets the stage for a number of future variants with growing capabilities. Check it:

Blockchain state management typically involves a set of keys and values that get updated and deleted over time. If you think about the state of a database as the outcome of a sequence of the operations applied to it, you'll find the MMR makes for a natural fit!
