Attention: transaction fees on Base are coming down *again*! We just increased the network gas target to 6.25 Mgas/second, on our way to 7.5 Mgas/second by EOW. Simple sends are well under 1 cent again 🔥 Node operators: if your node struggles to keep up, we recommend increases the size of the op-geth --cache.

Yes we're actively planning how to deal with the state growth over time. There are potential solutions out there, but unclear exactly which path makes most sense for a high throughout L2. Solvable problem though (IMO).
