ITAP of the glow from Halema’uma’u Crater in Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island of Hawaii. It was once one of the longest continuous eruptions in the world, but forever changed by the eruptions in 2018. We weren’t sure we’d ever see this glow again, and when it came back, we had to go see it.

Yeah, it had stopped between 2018 and 2020, so when it started to glow again in December, Annie and I went over for New Year’s weekend and got to see it again. Not the right time of year for the Milky Way, but love the stars above the crater too!
