One of my 2025 predictions is that I believe a consortium of BlackRock, Fidelity and other high-profile TradFi companies will create their own new tokenized exchange as an Ethereum L2. Every day I get more and more confident in that prediction.

Blackrock is already involved in an effort to launch a Texas stock exchange. Pretty obvious why Larry Fink was just saying he wants the SEC to expedite approving tokenized equities.
