Children of the Network It’s possible to have a child today that isn’t registered with the state at birth. That child could then live off the grid, with laptop for work and crypto for payments. They’d still hit fiat checkpoints if attempting international travel. But maybe you need that less with the Internet.

Some people have to become those, not from birth but having no other choice to chase freedom. Registering with the state becoming a choice, and I see more negative in it than positive, it's limiting freedom, puts you under surveillance and counts as a part of nation where you have no influence in it's governance

*Given current passport situation But I'd certainly choose a network state as it's the only way to live that makes sense now and is truly humane

Humane and “freedom” of choice are two completely different things. Choosing to live outside of nation state norms is in itself a choice for different freedoms not total freedom.

The initial example was too extreme for current state of the world. Agree you'd have to give up too much right now, depending on where you are from, but it's not like one or another. If you want freedom, you can choose to have a mix of both, that's where I'm at. Freedom will get pushed further with network states

But tbh if I were to get a child rn, I'd seriously consider stateless/network state option. Most people get state documents to get legal within the system (unless you were lucky enough to be born with a strong passport) But me and some of my friends aren't tied to a nation except only for a piece of paper.

I guess it depends on how far you take documentlessness and yes, like you said the current state of the world. For instance: Most people don’t actually need state sponsored documents - true. Most people need state sponsored healthcare - also true.
