I think there is less contradiction between these than it might seem. We need more "return to cypherpunk roots" on some axes (eg. L2s getting to stage 1, inclusion lists, light clients...) and more UX focus on some axes (most notably, making cross-L2 more seamless).

Seriously limiting activity and growth of L2s, creates multiple issues like having to trust a bridge you’re seeing for the first time or impossibility to bridge from certain chain to another
