I really want to build an audience on X, and I know it would help me; but every day I get proof I am not on the same wavelength and I don't want to be

"look what i made" gets as much visibility as "wow such garbage your guys are idiots"

it's depressing man, I wouldn't grow my own twitter profile even if I was offered $10k / month
